About Us, 21 years of baking pies.

In 1999 Tony and Alletha Snow acquired the business known as Piemans Pantry Factory Shop.

Providing delicious and convenient meal solutions to the busy life of South Africans, the potential to further develop the business was very strong.

During their tenure they re-equipped the Factory and produced a range of award-winning products and especially the English style cold eating pork pie under the Thornley’s Original brand, supplying retail chain stores and others.

A devastating fire brought this to a close, together with our association with the retail chain store customers.

During a long period of rebuilding we looked inwardly at our retail Factory Shop to see if there was further value we could add, Wholesale and Distribution seemed to be the answer, and now we are proudly the most distributed pie brand in South Africa and can be found in all corners of the country and major retail outlets, forecourts, schools, canteens, and even café’s with our extensive brand range from frozen unbaked to wrapped pre-baked pies.
